Many EP tests have been done. In children, the test is usually (but not exclusively) done with an eye towards also doing an "ablation", a procedure where a special catheter is placed into the heart that can deliver an burn or super-cold freeze to abnormal heart tissue that is causing arrhythmias.
There are separate pediatric EP doctors, with training and experience in performing EP tests on children. You are best advised to seek out such a practitioner.
