People of all ages around the UK are being invited to join the search for the country’s top hearing expert.
The hard of hearing are encouraged to nominate hearing specialists for the 2011 Rayovac Audiologist of the Year award.
The exciting award aims to celebrate the skill and dedication of the UK’s 3,000 plus hearing professionals who make a huge difference to the lives of their patients.
Anyone interested in entering the competition can find out more at www.audiologistoftheyear.eu where they can also cast their vote. The closing date for entries is July 15 2011.
The competition is run by Rayovac, the world’s leading manufacturer of hearing aid batteries and the only maker of hearing aid batteries in the UK.
Audiologist of the Year is recognised as the leading accolade for hearing professionals and is judged by an independent panel of industry experts.
The title of Audiologist of the Year is awarded to the winner. They also receive a cash prize alongside the nominating patient.
The winner of the UK award will then represent the country in the European Audiologist of the Year Award, which will be judged later in 2011.
Paula Brinson-Pyke, marketing manager for Rayovac, said: “We don’t just want people to tell us their audiologist is good, we want to know why they are the best in the business.
“We want to hear heart warming and inspirational stories from patients of how their hearing specialist goes above and beyond the call of duty to help out.
“Our hearing is so important to our life and good hearing care is worth its weight in gold.”
