Well, NJ finally got snow after so many months WITHOUT snow! I *knew* this would be a bad skiing season. Anyways...
It's 11:30ish, and I'm sitting in the quiet. TV is off. I hear this noise again. I try hard to comprehend what the noise is. I knew it was either from upstairs or outside, but I couldn't exactly tell what it was. At first, I thought it may be the people upstairs pacing back and forth, but it sounded different. This new sound, sounded slightly familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I went in the bedroom where Roy was studying for a test and I asked him to borrow his ears again. He looked at me and said, "That's the rain that's hitting the window." OH my gosh! Now, I know why it's familiar, it sounded like the rain hitting my moonroof of my car! I have never heard rain from the inside of the apartment. I'm enjoying my moment in silence, hearing the rain drops hitting the window.
I have my mapping this Friday, and I'm itching to try to get the low frequency sounds a little bit louder. The high frequency sounds are getting better, and a little bit more comfortable. It's still slightly loud for my taste, but it's a heap load better than the first week. Today, in drawing class, a girl had her iTouch and turned on Rap and Reggae music. I was surprised I was able to pick up the beat of Reggae. Although music still sound weird to me, I was able to hear Reba's "Starting Over Again" clearly on TV.
EDIT: 2/13/08 AM - It's pouring outside. I put the TV on mute to enjoy the rain beating down on the window. Sounds like a quiet harmony. I love it. :-) I can't help, but hum Madonna's song, "Rain". Rain, feel it on my finger tips Hear it on my window pane Your love's coming down like Rain, wash away my sorrow Take away my pain Your love's coming down like rain
