Interested in helping your school-aged child reach their spoken language potential? This summer an intensive auditory verbal therapy programme is being offered at the Auditory Verbal Lounge in Nottingham for children with hearing loss and their families.
Research shows that many children with hearing loss underachieve but attending therapy during term time means missing important school education.
AVT supports children to get the maximum benefit from their hearing technology so they can develop spoken language through listening. You would be highly involved in each session and work together with the therapist to develop skills for listening and language development that can then be integrated into daily life.
