Pay Attention to Avoid Injury

Do you know the number one reason people discontinue an exercise program? According to physiologist John Duncan, it's injury. It's funny in a sit-com when someone goes barreling off the end of the treadmill, but in real life it hurts! And it happens! We are all so busy managing our cell phones, Ipods, and checking out the guy or girl the next machine over that we can get hurt. Try to concentrate on what you're doing. Added bonus: you get a better workout when your mental energy is focused on your physical task.

I've hurt myself before because I was distracted. It keeps you from using proper form and makes your workout kind of useless. If you aren't paying attention you're just going through the motions
