Next week is Noise Action Week (18 - 22 May), an annual initiative coordinated by Environmental Protection UK (formerly NSCA), that aims to raise awareness of the noises you are exposed to at work, at home and when out and about, and the importance of protecting your hearing.
In recent years, councils such as Huntingdonshire District Council, have promoted the national Noise Action Week campaign. Competitions have taken place each year and teams have visited schools with their presentations on ‘noise’, how sound travels, how to reduce noise and how hearing can be damaged by noise, as well as promoting considerate behaviour, especially where neighbour noise is concerned.
