Decided to post a little post. Insomnia took over me. Blah! Anyways, last night Roy went to his ASL class (I'm a bad teacher!) so I had the place to myself for a few hours. All day I kept hearing these two weird noises. It sounded distant, and I looked all over trying to determine two different noises that I was hearing. Roy came home, and I told him to sit down, and listen for the noise and I signal him that I heard it. It came a few times. He said, "Oh, it's those people upstairs walking around the apartment. You're hearing their floors creaking." "You're kidding, right?" "No, their floors creak all the time, us hearing people tune it out." I knew one small spot on my floor that creaks, but it sounded so soft with my HAs. Roy went to that spot and made the floor creak. I was like, "Damn! That has been bugging me ALL day long!" I think I would have gone crazy if I had CI and lived by myself. I would be strapped to the chair with straitjacket and claiming that I hear noises in my head.
The second noise? The pluggable Ionic Breeze to inform the user that it needs to be cleaned. Normally, Roy would tell me as I couldn't hear it before. It's VERY quiet, and sounds like someone is clicking the automatic pens.
