No, I'm not talking about Amy Winehouse's beehive or Britney Spears bad tracks. I'm talking about my hair.
My hair and my CI don't work too well together. I have almost to the waist length hair. Long and flowing strawberry brownish hair that took me a good 7 years to grow with few trimmings here and there.
I'm ignoring the fact that I get a chunk of hair on my brush daily. I'm ignoring the fact that when I take a shower I forget to clean the hair trap and having Roy say, "Ewww!" I'm ignoring the fact that if I have more than 1 inch of my hair trimmed off, the engagement ring goes bye-bye (this is a joke, so chill. :-) ).
I'm facing the fact that my CI and hair doesn't really go well together. If I put my hair up in a ponytail, CI doesn't bother me at all. If I put my hair down or "neck ponytail", it's an issue. Putting the coil on is not the issue, it's the dang powerful triple microphones. When I move my neck, the hair bothers the mikes. Try it. Try rubbing your fingers over the microphones...that scratchy, sharp, rubbing, and well, sounds like hair rubbing over the microphones. It's annoying.
I, normally, have my hair up in a high ponytail, but because my right side still kind of hurts I don't do it. Instead, I opt for the Heidi look with two braids.
Roy says I can cut my hair (Mind you, this is the guy that would threaten to break up with me if I ever cut my hair...what's with guys and hair. It's just hair!), as long as I donate it to Locks of Love. Dr. C, the surgeon, took the plunge and cut her long locks and chopped it all off. She's not bald, but you know what I mean.
Anyways, that's my rant of the day...Hair and CI don't go together. Any hints on how to solve this issue without chopping my mane off?
EDIT: This is for Laurie. :-) It's not the coil issue, it's the microphone issue where my hair rubs against the microphone if I have it a certain way. The only way to avoid that is to put my hair all the way up in a ponytail when hair is away from the mikes. Excuse the blurriness...damn camera acting up on me again.
