Going on a trip

Posted Jan 14 2009 6:49pm

The weather is supposed to be cold tomorrow...I mean VERY cold.  With the wind chill the temps may reach -15.  Jonathan probably won't have school, if it gets that cold, so we were thinking of surprising the boys and taking them to one of the indoor waterparks.

I know the boys will have a great time.  Thomas hasnt been to this particular waterpark since he was about 6mths old....pre CI's.  I will keep his CI's by my side but I will take them off when he is getting ready to go splash around.  This makes me sad.....knowing that he won't be able to hear all the kids laughing and screaming, the bell attached the big water bucket ringing when its full and ready to tip over, and especially since he won't be able to hear me.  As usual either Dad or myself will be right behind him at ALL times and when we feel the need to get his attention we will try everything in our power to get him to read our lips (he does this pretty well already) and use our limited sign.

I really have to let go of this feeling ~ it doesnt bother Thomas not to hear in the water ~ it surely should not let it bother me!!!!

I will definitly update when we get home!
