CI moment

So, here I am doing my painting project for Color Theory, and I'm hearing this banging noise like short thunderstorm. Las Vegas do not normally have extreme weather like NJ, I was just puzzled. It was very very windy though.

I would yell to Roy, "Did you hear that? What is that?" He kept saying that he didn't hear anything or wasn't paying attention. This is what I get for living with a hearing person that learned to filter out pretty much everything, even me going blah blah blah blah.

Then it would come again and again. I talked to Roy for a little while and I was getting fustrated because it was NOT thunder but something similar. I could hear the TV in the other room that Roy was watching, so I thought it was some sort of sound effect. That's not it either.

Roy told me something that he thought it could be. He went out to the front door and allowed the gate in the front door to open and close. THAT was it! The high winds were blowing it open and shut.

I've been listening to my iPod more often in the car and I could pick up many words and I was just tickled pink that I can pick up the vocals a LOT better this time around. "Alone" by Heart was a bit of a difficult song to follow (pre CI, and pre Aug Map), and I would try so hard to understand the song, but in some places it just sounded jumbled. I haven't heard it since my new maps and my second CI. I heard it for the first time on was just awesome to be able to hear the vocals and lyrics at the parts that I was struggling with!

On the home front: Hobbes is much better. He had to stay in the hospital for 3 days, but a lot better now. Mocha's eye infection has gone away. Blackjack's cold is going away, and his ringworm issue as improved after I gave him his second bath treatment. Roy had food poisoning over the weekend, but he's a lot better now. When's my turn? I want to be served hand and foot. :-)
