I have a daughter with severe to profound hearing loss in both ears. She now has bilateral cochlear implants. She was diagnosed at 4 weeks old and was implanted at 13 months and 17months. Have your niece's mom talk to the audiologist about cochlear implants. She may be a candidate.

My neice is 5 months old and in her right ear has profound to severe hearing loss while her left ear is hearing perfect?
Is there a hearing aid or treatment to help her as she gets older?
