“You will never regret a workout.” Those words rang strong this morning. I woke up to rain and wind, glanced at my phone and saw that my running buddy had cancelled. I immediately lost motivation, and started to curl back into bed. Right before I fell back into dreamland, I woke up and thought “Hey, I was planning on getting a run in. If it was sunny, I would just do it. What’s stopping me now? There’s a gym 5 feet away.”
With that, I put on my big girl pants and cranked out a 2 mile hill run, 10 minutes on the Elliptical, and some leg presses while watching How I Met Your Mother. I love that show by the way. Well, I was right. After I finished exercising I felt energized and ready to tackle the day. Sometimes you just needed to get out there and DO IT.
When I got home, this exercise mantra was still stuck in my head and I began to think about other things I never regret doing:
Recycling
Choosing vegetarian over meat dishes
Chatting with family
Playing with Sandy
Volunteering
Saving money
Drinking water
Becoming more spiritual
Cleaning my place
Breakfast was a fast spinach and egg scramble because I had needed to get started working from home.
The evening rolled around and I got ready to attend a friend’s birthday party. It felt nice to get changed and dolled up after bumming around in my sweatpants all day!
The party was hoppin’! 35 people crammed into a house calls for a good time, I’ll say! I made myself a plate while I was there and then chatted the night away.

Now it’s time for bed! Good night!
