Neither do we. I need to do some reorganizing this weekend because I do not like having stuff on the counters. I like everything neat and tidy and in its own place. Now where can I store a 10 lb box of oatmeal?
I finally got out and ran on Wednesday – the last time I got out was the Thursday before! It felt so good to get out and the weather was actually really nice! I can even see the big ole Costco from the trail!
I ran 6 miles – it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. My legs felt like lead in the beginning, but once I was warmed up I felt pretty good. This weekend is the long awaited 20 mile run and I’m pumped! My last 2 long runs have gone really well:
This weekend I plan on doing everything as I will on race day – wake up time, breakfast, pre race routine, etc. And I’ll start running at 7:30am because that is when Grandma’s starts! I think that was a mistake I made last year – we got up early for the race and ate breakfast right away, but the race didn’t start for another 2 hours – we should have had a second breakfast!
After my run, I sat down to dinner, which Jason had prepared for us! I do almost all of the cooking, so it was a nice treat to have a night off. He even took pictures of his progress, so here you go:
