Pack workout clothes in your suitcase, an iPod, and whatever else you might need.
Wake up a bit earlier in the day to work out, so you can enjoy the rest of your day.
Utilize the hotel gym (if you’re staying somewhere that has one).
Pack workout DVDs, some light weights or resistance bands, and exercise in your hotel room.
Take advantage of your local environment. When Michael and I go to Hilton Head, we rent bicycles and bike all over the island for exercise. While I away this week, I try to take long walks on the beach as much as possible (I also build sand castles with the kids, but I don’t think that counts as exercise…).
Don’t stress if you can’t work out everyday or if your workouts aren’t as intense as they are when you’re at home. After all, you are on vacation. You get points just for trying!
What are your tips for working out while on vacation?
Time to lie around on the beach like a lazy bum! Have a wonderful day!
