Just wanted to share my training schedule for Around the Bay 30k and the potential marathon May 5th. I based the plan off of a Hal Higdon marathon training schedule and altered it slightly to suit my needs and preferences. My strength workouts will be by Joseph Donnelly , I signed up for his website where he posts daily workouts. I could do this myself, but I find it such a time saver in the morning to already have my workout planned out for me. I don’t have to think about it, I just go and get it done.
While I like to have a set training plan like this, I don’t freak out if I can’t follow it exactly. If I have to shuffle things around when I am busy or out of town, that is no problem. If I have to skip a couple shorter runs, I can do that too. The main purpose of this schedule is to provide me with daily goals to keep me on track.
Things get down to business tomorrow! In theory. I think I am coming down with something, as my throat has been in flames for 48 hours, but we’ll see!
Do you make schedules for your workouts or training plans?
