I almost got blown of the road the other day, and with that the cobwebs left my mind and enabled me to make a few changes to the plan…
The problem I encountered was balancing all the weight loss principles I believe in… mainly – getting the perfect balance of the right carbs, while sticking to low-GI products, plus hitting correct food combinations all within a restricted calorie range; and that’s before I even go near my food intolerances… Therefore, I am making the following changes:
Breakfast: the cereal will be either oat/bran/Special K or a mix. Approximately 5 tablespoons worth.
Lunch/Snack: I will be swapping the rice cakes/corn thins for 2 Ryvita crackers. I sometimes use tinned fruit as my lunch option… If I do I will stick to tinned peaches or pears.
Pre-Run Snack: mini rice pudding Post-Run Snack: shop bought smoothie
Dinner: I will try to combine more pulses and egg into my main meal and will opt for Basmati rice, pasta or noodles
All these changes make the daily calorie intake total 1400 kcal… that’s 200 less than before. Bonus : ) If I get hungry on a particular day I have room for an extra healthy snack… Let the lbs roll off!
To celebrate, I picked up this little beauty in Primarni (last of the big spenders!)… It reminds me of a Seurat painting for some reason. Love it!
