Wha Wha Wha! Are we already Wednesday? OMG! Yesterday just flew by and I completely forgot to take pictures of what I ate yesterday .
Yesterday was such a busy day that I didn't even have a chance to write a new post. I'm so sorry!
I didn't take any pictures of what I ate but I will update you on what I ate.
breakfast - slice of whole wheat bread toasted topped with smooth peanut butter and strawberry jam and a cup of coffee of course :) a.m. snack - plain rice cake topped with smooth peanut butter and an apple lunch - ham sandwich on white bread with lettuce, a side of cucumber and a side pasta salad p.m. snack - 2 kiwis and 1 orange dinner - 2 salami sandwichs
Let's analyze shall we? I know I didn't have the healthiest day as far as my eats goes but I am honest and I have listed exactly what I ate. No one is perfect and I wanted to show you that it happens and as the saying goes,
Too much sodium - The 10 slices of German salami did it. I didn't realize that there was so much sodium in salami! Salami is not the best cold cut to eat but we don't have many options in our fridge this week.
Too much bread - White bread that is. And whole wheat isn't the best choice either. In this week's grocery bag, I will have only whole grain bread.
Too few veggies - I only had some cucumber yesterday. Not quite the minimum 5 servings.
I actually wrote "recherche" when I was thinking "research". Boy I really am bilingual! LOL...
Recently, I have started doing some research on psoriasis. My hubby has some areas on his body which are affected by this self-esteem diminisher and I want to do all that I can to help. Why am I mentioning this? Clean eating, that's why. There is no official cure for psoriasis but many researchers point to curing this ailment from the inside out. It is suggested to cleanse the body instead of applying creams and ointments which only cover up the problem. More on my research later...
