Has your week been full of good food? Mine has been so-so in that department, but the week is young.
I have continued with my favorite smoothie for breakfast.
I had a near-catastrophe earlier this week when I ran out of berries. I had to make do with a plain banana version. It was acceptable, but not exciting. You can be sure that I headed right out for some strawberries & blackberries so that I could get back to the delicious, purple version right away. Last night I was at the grocery store and I had some random stuff in the cart. I had no clear idea of what dinner might be. So, I was happy when Ken called to say that he wanted to make stuffed pepper soup for dinner. He e-mailed me his ingredient list and I ran all around the store putting things back and grabbing new stuff.
Ken's soups are always good and this week was no exception. However, I brought a jalapeno in from the garden and he put it right in there.
Holy hot jalapenos ! Wow! I love these jalapenos, but I think we should stick with the bell peppers in the soup from now on.
I may have burned off some taste buds.
