Have you made up your mind that you are ready to move into the field where the big earners play? You’re tired of low-income wages. You’re tired of barely getting by. You’re sick to the teeth of scrimping and never having enough. You are desperate for things to not just be better, but to be really great!
If this is you talking then there are a few questions you will need to answer frankly.
First of all, if you really want to be a millionaire - how does a millionaire act? How do the real big earners think? And lastly what is the big difference between the rich people and poor people?
Collectively most people would reply to these questions in the following manner.
Millionaires live in big houses and buy luxury cars. Big earners think about how much money they have to spend and where they’re going on their next cruise. Rich are different from poor because they have more money. Wrong, wrong and wrong! You Will Never Join the Rich if You Never Know the Rich Let’s take this questioning a step further. If you wanted to be a corporate executive, wouldn’t you need to know what corporate executives do and what it is that works best for them? If you wanted to be a sky diver, wouldn’t it be in your best interest to find out what successful sky divers do and what works for them? If you wanted to ski double-black diamond slopes, will you just head for the slopes one day and jump in with the veterans? Am I making my point?
All of these answers and ways of thinking are wrong!
This article is much too confined to do justice to such as study as this, but let’s make a brief, general overview. Hopefully it will create a desire in you to learn more. Just for clarification: we are referring to the rich as those who are wealthy inwardly as well as outwardly. If they lost everything tomorrow, they would have the wherewithal to build it all over again, because it isn’t the money, but their mindset.
If you wanted to ride in a rodeo you would probably have to start hanging out with cowboys. Obviously it would be in your best interest to learn the ropes from people who have been there, done that! Just because you want to be a cowboy, doesn’t mean you are, right?
Wealthy people are willing to take calculated risks. Poor people want a guarantee (i.e. steady paycheck). They feel that the whole world is out to get them.
Being rich is not just about having money. Let’s clarify a little so that we can stimulate the strong desire you will need to actually make it work for you. Being rich is about wealth internally and externally. Wealthy people have the know-how and the resources to lose everything they have and earn it all back without missing a beat. It isn’t their money that makes them rich it is the powerful tool of their mind and the way their mind works.
Wealthy people are solutions-minded; problems are just an annoying bump in the road. Poor people crash at the first sign of a problem - they were sure it wouldn’t work all along. The problem proved them right!
The rich are wiling and able to take risks that don’t involve a guarantee (like a paycheck) They can take these risks because they don’t feel intimidated by the rest of the world, whereas many poor people feel the world is out to get them. Wealthy people pioneer their own trail. They don’t mind thinking on their own or thinking differently from the mainstream. Poor people generally derive their views from the media or let other people tell them how to think. Wealthy people aren’t afraid of bumps in the road because they are solution minded. Poor people crumble at the first sign of trouble unable to make decisions and revert to their self pity attitude. Wealthy people aren’t intimidated by extra zeroes in their income level. Poor people think in smaller increments wanting just enough to get by. Wealthy people are decisive and efficient in their decisions. They make decisions based on their future desires. Poor people procrastinate and are waiting for external forces to tell them the right time to move ahead on the road to success.
Wealthy people make quick decisions; they are always moving forward. Poor people procrastinate, and then procrastinate some more. They are waiting for the “just right” time to get onto that road to success.
