Why Blog?

Posted Sep 24 2012 9:35pm

Oh no, over a week since my last post … and that wasn’t even a real post.
Apparently I’m not a frequent blogger, but I am a frequent blog reader :) I read at least 10 blogs a day to procrastinate studying,  cause your lives are all so interesting and inspiring!
Really though, I was thinking.. what is it that draws me to blogging?
I’d have to say the most important aspect for me is the connection. The sense of community, even though I may not have many readers myself. I am still a part of the blog world, and can comment and share ideas with like-minded or un-like-minded people.
That in itself is the epitome of awesomeness!

Deer on campus. Literally in my backyard. The little baby fawns are so adorable!

“The only reason we don’t open our hearts and minds to other people is that they trigger confusion in us that we don’t feel brave enough or sane enough to deal with. To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, we feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else’s eyes.” – Pema Chödrön

I feel somewhat uninhibited when I blog, I just say type what I want without over-thinking it too much, as I would in real life. But who’s do say blogging’s not real life?

Sometimes I just don’t feel like putting in the effort of actually writing out a post. But when I do, I am reminded of why I always come back to it. Also.. this.

blogging=no bra required.

You also get to hear read about other perceptions of life.

world wide.

This  article  says it’s good for you. So do it. Why not?
