What to do…

Posted Jan 31 2011 12:23am

What do I do on a weekend where there is no football?

Well, actually – quite a lot of things!  Friday night I started out the weekend by going to see the movie Black Swan with my friend Christi.  As expected from all that I have heard about it, it was intense

I don’t go to the movies all that often, but I’m glad I saw this one in the theater.  It kept my attention throughout the entire movie, because it was different from any other movie I had ever seen, and I think being in the theater made the experience even better.

In the morning, I eat blueberries with yogurt.  Blueberries were on sale at Safeway last week – buy one get two free!!

Oh, and I eat them in my new fishy bowl that I got at the asian grocery store!

I also… finally finish our wedding invitations!

S and I printed and put them together by ourselves, so it took a lot of effort and quite a bit of time.

But it was worth it in the end… now they are all ready to go out in the mail tomorrow!  This is becoming more and more real every day…

Two and a half months from now I will be married!!  Surprised smile

Oh, and I dye my hair.  Back to my natural color – no more lightening, blonding, or bleaching for me.

I’m a brunette!

I’m way too low-maintenance to have dyed hair.  I have gotten my hair cut 3 times in the last 3 years, and had some crazy white-trash roots going on.

I also really wanted to have my natural hair color for the wedding pictures.  I didn’t want to look back at them years down the line and think… why wasn’t I happy with my hair color the way it was?  Why did I feel the need to dye it blonde?

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it, but I LOVE it.  I feel like myself again!

So all in all, a successful weekend – even without football.  The pro-bowl doesn’t really count… it was kind of boring, and no Steelers were playing!

Can’t wait for a week from today…  SUPERBOWL!   HERE WE GO!!!
