What I Ate

Posted Feb 13 2013 8:54am

Hey there, happy Wednesday! I’ve taken a few pictures of meals this week, but nothing spectacular has been happening in the kitchen.

No surprise here, but during the week I just don’t have time to come up with really great recipes or meals. Luckily, I’m the type of person who can eat the same things forever and never get sick of it. I’m boring.

I’ve entered week 18 of James Wilson’s body earned program, wooo! I’m not doing anything different with my nutrition just yet, but I’m about halfway through, so I’m not really trying to gain anymore. I feel like I’ve gained a good base of muscle in these past 5 weeks and I’m pumped about it!

A lot of people do the 40/40/20 (carbs/protein/fat) ratio, but I find that I do MUCH better with less protein and more fats. Everyone is different, so find what works for you!

A piece of my turkey meatloaf, acorn squash with cinnamon and coconut butter (heaven), and cucumbers.

Before mixing..

After! This is a stir fry with shrimp, nutritional yeast, and hemp seeds. I love stir fries with shrimp!

Oh yeah… a protein microwave muffin topped with protein paste and coconut butter. Obviously I’m loving coconut butter lately.. IMG_9932

Same thing, different starch and nut butter. Turkey meatloaf with cucumbers, sweet potato, and sunbutter spread on top.

Grilled chicken, steamed asparagus, wilted spinach, and carrots with nutritional yeast.

That’s all I’ve got for this week! Have a good one Smile

Am I the only one who does better with less protein?

Do you go the simple route for meals, or do you like to get creative?
