Welcome to October Monday Motivation!

Posted Oct 01 2012 6:16am

Welcome to October! It officially feels like Fall to me now. Start of a new month on a Monday always feels like a fresh start. Are you ready? I am. It is going to be a great month. Guess what is happening this Saturday? COLOR ME RAD!!! I am so excited.

If you took a break from blog reading over the weekend, you might want to catch my Five Things Friday ? Great posts and tweets to read. My Big South Fork State Park post is full of photos. You will want to check out my new friend.

I have decided to start listing my workouts here on the blog to hold myself more accountable. I have been slacking off some and that stops now. This is my plan for the week.

Monday – Walk a 5K on the treadmill
Tuesday – Arms (see workout below) and a H.I.I.T Elliptical workout
Wednesday – Strength Training Workout (see below)
Thursday – Walk 2 miles (outdoors if the weather cooperates)
Friday – Rest Day
Saturday – Color Me Rad 5K
Sunday – TBD

Found this arm workout on Pinterest. Definitely want to try it out. Must build up the strength in my arms if I am going to be on crutches next month.

I know this is a beginner strength workout but since I have been slacking in that area I think it will work great for me. I can always make more challenging.

Remember that no one is going to take care of your health but you. Make yourself a priority.

What are some small efforts you are doing that will have long-term results?

And finally, saw this on Facebook and thought it was so appropriate.

Have you planned your workouts for the week? What’s your favorite part of October? Any upcoming races? What small efforts have had big results for you?

Enjoy your day!
