I hope you all had a wonderful night last night and day today! David and I were invited to our friend Wim and Traci’s home for some NYE festivities. We ended up leaving about 20 minutes before the ball dropped because I had to be at work at 7 this morning but we spent a few hours with some great friends. I haven’t laughed more than I did last night. I was in tears. And I loved it.
These were our wonderful hosts in their new home! There were some chips, dip, ziti, meatballs and cocktails galore. I had some chips, pasta and two beers. Have you tried the Sam Adam’s Cream Stout? Amazing.
So yes, I had to be at work at 7 this morning. Not the best situation but it is what it is. I am definitely looking forward to this new job that has holidays off. The day was definitely going to be busy with 500 people checking out; we were ready. But at 8AM I got a call from David: “Where are my keys?” Ahhhhh, they were still in my purse from last night. And my purse was at work. And there I was, jumping in my car and driving for 2 hours to get them home so that he could go to work. Thankfully, the front desk was able to cover. And it wasn’t busy yet, as the rush didn’t start until around 11.
The day flew by, but I was ready to get home and relax. A glass of wine and some Italian chicken was enjoyed for dinner. And I think I’m ready for a cookie before bedtime. Yep, it’s 8:15 and I’m ready for bed. I’m so glad I have tomorrow off.
Happy New Year!!!
