I’ve been wanting to write a post about the topic of weight gain and weight loss during and after pregnancy. I have some pretty strong thoughts and feelings about it but I just haven’t had time to put them into a post.
Two friends who have wrote about this topic recently are Christa and Ruby and I really encourage you to check out their posts. They sum up my feelings perfectly so until I have the time to get my thoughts together, make sure you check them out!
What I will say is that I feel completely different about weight loss after pregnancy than I thought I would and it’s pretty refreshing to feel this way. Although i’ve been excited to get out and get running again (I got clearance to exercise on Friday at my 6 wk post-natal appointment!), I don’t feel like I want to exercise to lose weight but just to get out and do something and feel fit again. I’ve been missing the feeling I got after running!
