It’s Monday and it’s the first day of October, and I’m baffled at that. It feels like just yesterday when I decided to start training for my first half marathon…and that was in April. Man.
Anyways, hope y’all had a great weekend and are ready to tear into October, because I know I am!! Last night, I spent a good four hours studying and planning, and it got me all riled up. That’s what I love about the courses I’m taking and the certifications I’m seeking – I’m educating myself and having enough ah ha moments to really spark a fire within. I know that probably sounds corny, but it’s absolutely true. I was reading and getting hyped up about how I was figuring out what I need to change personally to reach my goals. I was planning my month and getting fired up about races and the beautiful weather, and I tweeted this:
And I’m fairly positive that most of you are feeling the same way, because it’s been retweeted several times. Haha.
October, your ass is mine. I’m comin’ for ya.
I’m not going to talk about my goals for last week. We’ll just leave it at that. Haha. This week’s a brand new week.
I have two pretty hefty exams coming up on Wednesday and Saturday of this week, so I may or may not be active socially – fair warning. However, this week, one of my goals is to stick to my schedule no matter what is going on. I have the luxury of being able to plan my days around my workouts, so I’m going to start taking advantage of that. The other goal is to eat as clean and as simple as possible. With my exams and a new client-coach project being initiated this week, I don’t think I’ll have time to get all fancy with meals, and after a weekend of family time with my sister, brother-in-law, and their kids, I ate like crap. So back to square one this week. Back to basics.
Before I end this post, I have to mention something. I reached out to you all on Friday after I posted about a friend’s adoption story , and I pleaded to have the post tweeted and shared so that as many people as possible could see the post. I was absolutely serious when I said that if you were to read only one post of mine ever, to make it that one. Carlyn, of Just Keep Sweating , went above and beyond for Kristen and Andy and tweeted about their story nearly a dozen times over the weekend. Courtney, of Journey of a Dreamer , bought a Shoot Fly Shoot photography class package to help fund their adoption, and many of you lent your support via comments on my post and on Kristen and Andy’s blog . Thank you so very very much for helping me with this. Your support for them means the world to me.
