Weekly Fitness: 20 Weeks Pregnant

I woke up this morning thinking it was Sunday since Chris was off yesterday but low and behold it’s only Saturday.  WEE!!!!  Two more days of family time = a very happy mama!  Today I am also making my return to my yoga studio here in town.  Ever since starting to feel better, we have either been out of town or had prior Saturday plans so I wasn’t able to make my favorite yoga class.  Not any more.  Mat … I am coming for you!

 

Since I am going to be 21 weeks pregnant tomorrow, it’s time to recount my workouts for the week .  After all the discussion on a Fit Pregnancy this week I felt more motivated than ever to get out there and kick my booty.  I am listening to my body and doing what feels good to me.  I was just talking to Chris last night about wondering how much longer I am going to be able to maintain this frequency and intensity and I am excited to see how my journey continues to go.

 

This week was also Week 5 of Best Body Bootcamp and the strength circuits focused on tri-sets.  Also, have you ever done a one-legged wall sit with leg extension?  I hadn’t and holy cow my quads were burning!  Try it sometime.

 

MONDAY: 2 mile run + 0.25 mile cool-down + BBB Workout A

TUESDAY: 2.5 mile stroller run + abs

WEDNESDAY: 2 mile run + 0.25 mile cool-day + BBB Workout B

THURSDAY: 4.25 mile run + abs

FRIDAY: 2 mile run + 0.5 mile incline walking + CrossFit Circuit

 

CrossFit Circuit: 3 RFT

5 Deadlifts

5 Power Cleans

5 Thursters

5 Squats

5 Push Press

**Note: Totally realized I wore my For Two Fitness tank twice this week without realizing it.  OOPS.  Haha.

 

Overall I am more than satisfied with this week.  I shocked myself with my run on Thursday – I averaged 10:35/mile and felt awesome.  On Friday I did the 2 miles in under 20 minutes which was a huge accomplishment for me right now.  I am proud of the work that I am putting it but also thankful that my body is allowing me to do the things that I love.  This time last pregnancy I wasn’t running any more so I am thankful to be logging miles still.  I am taking things day by day and we will see what this next week brings :)
