Another busy summer weekend gone by! I had lots of fun this weekend catching up with old friends and making some new ones! The weather was predicted to be a bit crazy on Sunday so our planned blogger hike turned into a blogger lunch instead…whoops.
It was so nice to meet these ladies. It just so happens all 5 of us have dogs, and all 5 of us are crazy dog Moms, so you can imagine how our conversation went, hah. So much fun!
After lunch I ran back to my friend Stacy’s condo, cooled down a bit and then packed up to grab the bus home. The storm kicked in around right around this time but I managed to escape most of it (Stace can’t say the same…hah sorry Stace!!)
So far this week I have been continuing to get my workouts in, but I have to mention that I have notbeen following Body Earned for the past couple weeks. Everyday I think about going to gym, and everyday I look at the beautiful weather and say FORGET THAT! And I take my workout outside! Am I going to feel guilty because I did a workout different from the one on a schedule? No! That’s crazy! That being said, I am planning to get back in the gym on a regular basis very soon. Lifting heavy through my last half marathon training plan helped immensely, so I plan to do the same thing this time around. I am going to write up a schedule incorporating running and the last 6 weeks of James Wilson’s Body Earned program to get myself back on track. I will probably also include one outdoor/track workout per week while the weather allows! All of my runs will continue to be outside. I want to get started early so I can really ease into it and avoid another injury. Race day is October 14th. I’ll be sure to post my new plan when it’s ready! Certainly some time this week, I’ve gotta get going!
