Oh man, I will be glad when things kind of smooth out.
I decided to make it a quiet weekend. Maybe a weekend for reflection or something like that.Just one of those times that I felt like I really needed to regroup. So here's my weekend. Well, parts of it anyways.
Me, the serious lacrosse Mom.
Ian, not wanting his pic taken at the docs office. Ha!
The lacrosse ball to the face look. Nice!
A little decaf...
A little laundry...
The reason for my funk-3" of new snow Saturday morning.
The makings of a muffin.
The amazing carrot cake muffin with cream cheese crumb topping.
The plan for the day.
Someone had other plans for the day!
Cleo's version of a compromise!
The amazing flat bread salad lunch plate.
The highlight of the weekend!
I am in the middle of completely overhauling my eating and what goes into my body. The more I read, the scarier it gets! I have been primarily a clean eater, but I am in the process of eliminating even more foods that just aren't doing my body any favors. (They aren't doing ANYONE'S body any favors, but it is up for everyone to decide for themselves.) So these little gems are some clean treats and some protein eats.I will be posting recipes soon. Here's what I've got:
Banana Bars with Cacao Nibs
Lemon Protein Bars
Protein Oat Bites
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites
Pumpkin Protein Bites
They are all sugar free and healthy options for treats or pre or post workout snacks.I am pretty excited to try them today.A lot of times things taste better after the flavors get a chance to blend and mellow out.The lemon protein bars are a definite surprise!I didn't think they would be any good, but I was SO wrong!Yum! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Thanks for taking a peek at mine! Happy St. Patrick's Day!I have a monster mint green muffin about to come out of the oven.Yum!
