Happy Monday!

How was your weekend?

It was pretty gloomy here all weekend, so I didn’t get outside with Michael as much as I would have liked.  Even so, we did venture out of the house a good bit.

On Saturday afternoon, we picked my sister Melissa up at her house and did some shopping at Buy Buy Baby.

I got Michael the cutest monkey print bathing suit along with this hat.  He actually gave me no option other than to buy it being that he starting chewing on it as soon as he tried it on.

You chew it.  You buy it.

On the way back home, we passed some Wheel of Fortune auditions.  I got so excited when I saw the big truck, but no…I did not try out for the show.

But if it had been a Family Feud tour bus, I would have been the first in line!

On Sunday, I met my friend Kirsten at Whole Foods for a little shopping.

(She’s my favorite health food store shopping buddy.)

Our baby boys are only a month apart in age, and it was so cute to see them checking each other out.

As you can see, I cleaned up pretty well at Whole Foods.  I also got some carob chips from the bulk bin section.  I’m not sure how I’m going to use them yet (other than eating them obviously), so if you have any ideas, please let me know in the comments!

Kirsten and I were hoping to find the new pumpkin flavored Larabars, but the store didn’t have them.  I’m still on the hunt and will not rest until I find them. ;)

I guess that our little shopping trip really tired Michael out.

Hopefully, he realizes that there are many more trips like that in his future.

What did you do over the weekend?

Have you tried or seen the new Larabars?  If so, where did you find them?

Have a great day!

  1. Oh I wish we had a Whole Foods close! The coconut flour is interesting….do you just bake with it? And now I’ll be on the lookout for pumpkin Larabars! Sounds delish!

  2. Looks like a very productive weekend and as always that little munchkin is too cute! How have you used the coconut flour? Put the carob chips in yogurt…mmmm

    • I’m definitely going to add the chips to Greek yogurt! I found a great recipe for pancakes that involves coconut flour and carob chips too, which I linked in today’s post. :)

  3. Sounds like you had a fun weekend! U love Whole Foods and trips there can be even more dangerous on my wallet than trips to Sephora lol!

I also love Family Feud! I was lucky enough to be in the audience on several episodes they filmed at Universal Orlando. It was a lot of fun, because Steve Harvey is a blast!!

    Have a great Monday!

    • OMG! I LOVE Steve Harvey! He replied to one of my tweets once, and it made my life. LOL. I am sure he was so much fun to see in person!

And I totally agree with you…Whole Foods is a dangerous place as far as the wallet is concerned.

  4. Love watching babies check each other out as well as babble as if having a conversation:) What is special about your Whole Foods? The Whole Foods here has a Tap House and love it – inexpensive place to try new brews and have a bite to eat. This weekend was all about car shopping – the 12 year old car was acting up once again – just gets tiring and expensive to keep repairing every month or two. New owners of a 2011 Nissan Altima – safety features galore. Have a Great Week!

    • I hear that every WF has some standout section, but I haven’t figured out what makes ours so great yet. They do offer lots of classes and tours, but I’m sure that most of them do that. Congrats on the new car! :)

      • I have been to the WF in Kailua (Oahu), Hawaii and that one has a Wine Bar with an outdoor seating area to boot. Maybe yours is yet to come – the Tap House is a recent addition to the WF here. Thanks – Mr. Craves is loving his new car and figuring out all the bells and whistles – like a computer on wheels! Take Care:)

  5. Michael is so adorable! I noticed you had coconut flour in your groceries. What do you use it for? I’m curious.

    • Aw. Thank you. :)

I did a post today on how I use the coconut flour, but I mainly got it to coat veggies and chicken. SO good!

  6. I love that coconut/almond milk. It’s the best! I have not tried the new Larabars…I love the cherry and apple pie ones though. Not a pumpkin fan but I bet they are good!

    Jill

    • The apple pie Larabars really are delicious! I love the way they smell too, but I’m a weirdo and smell everything. ;)

  7. I know sprouts has the pumpkin bars :) . Coconut spray oil? I’ve never seen that before! I’ll be on the lookout for that!

    • Oh man. We don’t have a Sprouts around here. :( I just might have to order them online. This is the first that I’ve bought the coconut spray, but it must be gaining popularity because I even saw it in my regular grocery store. I used it for the first time yesterday, and I love it!
