Happy Monday!

Did you watch the Super Bowl last night?

I watched it, but take that with a grain of salt.  When I say that I “watched” it, I really mean that I sat on the couch alongside MT with my laptop.

(Two Buck Chuck from Trader Joe’s)

Thank goodness for YouTube and Pinterest (and wine).  The power outage during the game was pretty entertaining too actually.

In case you haven’t already guessed, I am not a football fan.

I know that’s probably completely un-American, but I just find it to be very confusing and a total snoozefest.

I’m bored just writing about it!

Moving on to food- something that I actually love very much.

On Saturday night, MT and I had a nice romantic dinner at McCormick & Schmick’s.  It was the very first time we’ve gone out alone since Michael was born!

I thought that I’d have a difficult time with it, but I was actually able to enjoy myself very much at dinner.

(My starter was a walnut mixed greens salad, and my main course was grilled tilapia and a side of pan roasted wild mushrooms.)

Even so, I was more than ready to be reunited with our little man!

I’ve been itching to go to a restaurant in our area called Toast Cafe for quite awhile now, and we finally made it there on Sunday morning.

Unlike our dinner date, our breakfast date included the baby, but I’m certainly not complaining. :)

I ordered “The Runner” which was an egg-white omelet with turkey, roasted veggies, and brie (only I ordered mine without the cheese).

It was definitely worth the wait.  I already cannot wait to go back again!

Did anyone else cry over the Budweiser Clydesdale commercial played during the Super Bowl?  It made me so upset.  I cried like a baby!

Have a great day, and don’t forget to enter my SeabuckWonders giveaway:)

  1. I think the highlight of the game may have been the power outage ;) I spent majority of ‘watching’ while chasing Sawyer around…oh and drinking wine of course.

Love the pic of the lil man!

    • Girl, it is a shame that we don’t live close to one another. We’re always on the same wave length. Plus, our little guys could be pals! ;)

  2. I’ve never been to Toast and have been wanting to go too! Yes, I totally teared up during the Budweiser commercial!

  3. Sounds like the two of you had a great date night. Your little man is such a smiler – love that:) I love the Budweiser commercials and have actually seen the Budweiser Clydesdales in person twice so far – whole lot of horse power. Happy Monday – Happy Week!
