Weekend in Hangzhou

Posted Feb 19 2012 1:04am
While I stayed in Hangzhou for this weekend and I had Saturday off, I decided to go and explore the city. Its not just Happiest and one of the most Beautiful cities in China, but its also one of the most interesting ones.

So I had my nice Breakfast with local Fruits(Kiwi, Dragon Fruit and Pomelo), plain Yogurt and Coffee.

Always the best way to see the most of the city is to walk, so I had a good 20km round. But it aint that warm here so I had a hot drink on the way. Yeah I have to say ByeBye to Starbucks, because I found my new favorite spot for DrinkOnTheGo.  Its place named My Girl and they have little shops all over the town. I ordered Hot Buckwheat Sabo Soy Milk Tea. It was way beyond Delicious! Its made freshly front of you and you can creat your own drink. They have every kind of grains, milk, coffe, tea etc. Milk tea is really popular in China, mostly in south of China, but you can find it almost everywhere else too. Also my drink was made more fun with some red beans. They use beans in so many places. They are not just healthy, but Chinese have showed me how many different ways there are to use beans. There are all kind of bean milks(red, green, black bean), desserts, porridge and also they have ice creams with beans. The list can go on. Beans are almost everywhere.

I was really interested about old town , so I went to Hefang Street what is Historical and Cultural Street at Qinghefang. There was so much to see and it was super growded. From there you can find everything what is truly Chinese from foods, medicines until local organic herb and souvenires. Drum Tower From buzzing street I went to Southeast side of the West Lake. It was so beautiful over there. Also I enjoyed some of the Chinese and Hangzhou traditional snacks. On first picture you can see seaweed and on second one I was having one of the best Crabs ever. It was so well grilled and the taste was just mind blowing. It was just enough spicy to enjoy it! I keep on goin from city to city to see new things and get new experience of the the world! I send you a lot of Love and Light from China!
