This is my way of holding myself accountable for my fitness goals and also tracking my progress. To catch up, see week 1 and week 2 .
Starting BMI: 25.2
Today’s BMI: 25.0 (no change; down 1.4 pounds total)
Goal BMI: 24.0
Sometimes no change is success in itself. Losing weight isn’t a primary goal, and I don’t put a lot of effort into it. This week was full of parties and other social gatherings (aka football watching and french fries). I’m learning how to only indulge in things that I really want and not fall victim to the proximity trap. The worst feeling is when I eat something that I know isn’t good for me, and realize it didn’t even taste good.
Run 4x week – SUCCESS! I have started training for a 15K on December 3 with plans for a half marathon in March. My weekly mileage is only going to go up. See my training plan here .
Resistance 2x week – UH OH! I only managed one of these two sessions this week. As mentioned in my fitness truths , resistance training is not my forte. I can do better.
Here are the details:
Tonight my husband will be out, and I plan on relaxing at home taking full advantage of my rest day. I see a chick flick or some SoapNet TV in my future. Classic 90210 or Gilmore Girls? Yes please! I wonder what movies are free On Demand this week… Saturday is the usual – long run (5 miles), laundry, cleaning, errandry. We have a housewarming party to attend in the evening. A former college roommate of mine just bought a row house on Capitol Hill. I can’t wait to see it! And then it’s Football Sunday. Have I mentioned how much I love NFL season? Heading over to my mom’s house for Sunday dinner. My sister will be there too! I’m so lucky my family is nearby.
