This post will be short and sweet, because I still have TONS of unpacking to do. This past Sunday (how is it Thursday already!?!?) Kyle and I packed up and moved to Minnesota!
We will be living in Rochester, MN for the next 4 years while I complete my residency in Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic.
Before we left home, we visited with family and I said goodbye to this little one (Kyle’s nephew):
Kyle, his sister Whitney, and I went to a beautiful wedding Saturday night and we got to say goodbye to lots of dear friends.
Kyle’s parents made a delicious last supper for us: steaks, veggies, potatoes, corn, salad, and bread.
Then, bright and early Sunday morning, we were on the road. Kyle drove the UHaul and I drove my car. This was my view for 10 hours:
By Monday morning, our garage looked like this:
But we couldn’t unpack because we left bright and early to drive to the IKEA in Minneapolis (about an hour away). We wanted to hit up IKEA while we still had the UHaul so we could bring everything home without paying for delivery.
Do you think we bought enough at IKEA?
For the past 3 days we’ve been building and unpacking, running to the store for odds and ends, and that’s it. Now that we’ve finally made a dent in the unpacking pile, I can take a breath, but there is still so much to do! I hate living in boxes so I’m determined to get it done as fast as I can. So, I’m off to unpack some more!
