Wash Your Hands! Cook Your Food!

Earlier this spring & summer , we dealt with an E. coli scare from Germany that eventually infected close to 3,800 people and killed another 42 .  Now we're dealing with a(nother) Salmonella strain, this time in our turkey .  Just yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention announced that 76 persons had been infected and 1 had died

While it will be some time before we only eat natural, organic, free range, pesticide-free, antibiotic-free foods, it's important that we wash our hands and thoroughly cook our foods to minimize our risk for disease transmission.  I hate to say it, but I may need to reconsider carpaccio, sashimi, and bloody rare ribeyes.
