W.I.A.W.

Posted Jul 25 2012 8:58am
Welcome to another What I Ate Wednesday link up. And as usual a big thank you to Jenn over at Peas and Crayons for hosting it!

If you have been following my blog regularly, you know that this month's theme for W.I.A.W. is Food, Fun & Fitness. Not only are these weekly W.I.A.W.'s an opportunity for me to reflect on what I ate and see how I can better this but it is an opportunity for all to get new meal ideas and recipes.

So here is What I Ate yesterday!

breakfast - whole wheat peanut butter toast with 2 fried whole eggs. To change things up a bit, I added a tablespoon of salsa on top of my eggs. I've read about how so many bloggers do this so I figured that I would give it a try. It's not for me :(
am snack - CE cinnamon apple muffin with an apple
lunch (not pictured) - leftover CE lean pad thai, 1/4 cucumber, handful of cherry tomatoes, blueberry greek yogurt, and a chocolate moose pudding for desert
pm snack - a plum and Mott's applesauce
dinner - bowl of black bean and sweet potato turkey chili with a few whole grain and lime flavored tortilla chips, and 2 slices of italian loaf bread
post workout snack - CE cinnamon apple muffin

So far we covered the food portion of W.I.A.W., now on to fun and fitness!

Fitness : a 3km run / Fun : changing my route

I think yesterday's run was the best one I have had yet! Not only did I increase my pace (12:07/mile) but I also changed my routed to include some uphill running and downhill. At first, I thought it would just be fun to change things up a bit but I quickly realized how I truly enjoyed myself.

When I got back home, after a quick shower, I visited the Lululemon website and found an interesting blog post about running and motivation. I thought I would share it with you.
