Posted Mar 04 2011 9:05am
It's time for a little shameless self promotion.
On the heels of its first anniversary in February, the UAB Women and Infants Center is in the running for some of the Alabama Baby / Birmingham Magazine 2011 Parents' Choice Awards and needs your help -- vote the center and its physicians as the best in Birmingham.
Click here and go to the ballot. You can select UAB and its doctors for
Best fertility specialist
Best hospital to have a baby
Best birthing suite
The survey will be online until March 7. If you need help with a doctor's or practice name, go to www.uabmedicine.org/women . All of the information you need -- and a virtual tour of the center if you haven't seen it -- is at your finger tips.
And if you need a little help remembering why the center and its physicians are the best in Birmingham, here are a few hints
Newest, most technologically advanced center for obstetric, gynecologic and newborn care
Only all-private room NICU with sleep space allowing parents to room in with even the sickest babies who are cared for by doctors helping write the national standards for preemie care
Three full-time and three part-time board-certified lactation consultants and all nurses are trained breastfeeding educators
Only hospital with certified high risk pregnancy experts on premises 24/7; not to mention it's one of the top high risk pregnancy programs in the country
Infertility specialists with access to the latest clinical trials and the newest fertility treatments
Hotel-like room service meals with offerings created by renowned chef Frank Stitt
