vitamin D

I went to get my TB test and afterwards I got a craving for a sweet potato and swung by the grocery store in search for a sweet potato. I went to a better grocery store this time and they had a great section of organic produce. I got so excited so I got not only a couple sweet potatoes, but a couple apples, some apricots, an ACORN SQUASH!, and some bananas for my oats! I also found Greek yogurt, but held myself back from buying a big container of it since I still have some plain (normal) yogurt left in the fridge. I did however treat myself to an Oikos organic Greek yogurt cup with blueberries on the bottom! It was quite tasty and a nice treat for my lunch.

But between the grocery store and making lunch, I took the puppy on a nice mile-long walk so we could both enjoy the weather and soak up some Vitamin D. The weather is so nice, I’m actually wearing shorts and a light jacket and not bundled up like the past few weeks. I’m supposed to have really nice weather for my race tomorrow morning! But the walk was so nice and Sophie even made a doggy-friend at the neighborhood park we walked by.

Lunch1 medium sweet potato
a couple pumps of spray butter, salt, pepper
1/2 cup mixed greens
1/2 cup tomato
1 tbsp low fat sesame ginger dressing
1 container Oikos Greek yogurt w/ blueberry
