After a 1/2 mile warm-up run and dynamic stretching, I did 5 minutes of rowing with 50% resistance (the rowing machine in the weight room doesn't have a screen for distance), 50 thrusters using 10 lbs dumbbells (45 lbs, are you serious?!) and 30 assisted pull-ups for 3 rounds. This was a challenging workout for me even with the modifications, hence the swoobage. ***** I'd also like you all to meet Jen. She doesn't have a blog...yet, but she is training for her FIRST marathon in Pittsburgh on May 6th! Jen is raising money for the Western PA Humane Society in Pittsburgh, PA. You can make a donation to her wonderful cause HERE . Please consider it as even $5 goes a long way to help animals in need. Anyone who has been reading this blog for a short while knows how much my Cooper impacts my life. A donation is coming your way Jen! Besides running and working out, what is something you look forward to every day? -I love being greeted by Cooper when I get home. He always brings me a "gift" from his toys no matter if I've been gone an hour or 8 and wags his entire body! |

I think all the walking in the snow with ill-fitting boots caused my plantar fasciitis flare up, so I minded my feet and opted for another form of sweating. Look, swoob .
Here are a couple workouts I did over the weekend. This first one is a 300 rep workout I created for the home.
Body weight squats, jumping pull-ups using this bar in the doorway, scissor abs with weights , push-ups (I had to modify to my knees after 25) dumbbell swings ( like the move here ), reverse lunges, full sit-ups, dips using a dresser, and burpees.
This workout went really fast, and you can do it home to sneak in some strength training. Of course, I had to allow time for Cooper to get his workout too.
Using my Crossfit app , I modified one of the WOD's. I think I'll name it Swoob.
