Undoing the Wrongs of Halloween

I was feeling pretty sluggish this morning when I dragged myself out of bed.  It couldn’t have had anything to do with all the late night snacking of left over Halloween candy and not exercising yesterday, could it?

No. It definitely was.

So today I started over right.  I woke up and had a delicious strawberry and peanut butter protein shake.  The rest of the day I tried to drink a ton of water and eat right, resisting almost all the candy the kids brought into school today.  Did you know the day after Halloween is actually a teacher’s Halloween?  My fridge at school is FULL of Reeses.

However, I may stay away from them, since a lovely student told me I was too fat to eat chocolate.  No Comment :) .   I wonder if I was really overweight, if they would say these things?   They didn’t while I was pregnant (and pretty fat)  but honestly their comments do not bother me, but I sometimes feel nervous for more sensitive teachers, whether or not they are actually heavy.  Middle school teachers need the THICKEST of skins!

And that thick skin comes in handy when you show up to the Box after school.

Today, we had a great workout at CrossFit!

Mostly because we got to pick a song for the first time to play over the loud speaker.  Clearly, we picked Taylor Swift! (Voldemort to the CrossFit crowd).  I don’t remember what song they played but I wish it was this one.  I am OBSESSED.

It is on repeat on my iPod.  I love it!

Anyways, our work out was pretty good and consisted of this:


8 minutes
6 minutes Row
2 minutes Burpees

8 min AMRAP
30 jump ropes
10 sit ups
5 kettlebell swings

8 min AMRAP
200 meter run
5 pull ups

I love endurance CrossFit exercises because I never get yelled at about my form and I try to work as hard as I can.  I love pushing my limits and these types of workouts at CrossFit makes it easy to do it!

As for the rest of the night, I am chilling drinking my Dunk’s tea and watching Khloe K on X Factor.  I felt like she was a slam dunk choice but she is flopping big time.  She just looks so nervous.  I am hoping she will be able to shake out the nerves because I think she has huge potential and just needs to hit her stride.
