I’ve discovered another helpful nutrition website, drgourmet.com hosted by a nutritionally-savvy MD who’s also an experienced chef. Best of all, it provides free nutrition software where you can input any dietary restrictions or health conditions you have and it provides you with a tailored, healthy meal plan, including recipes. It also offers a free exercise diary where you can track your workouts. Check it out.
I also like Prevention.com’s prevention control section. It has a fun quiz to test your knowledge of portion sizes, with helpful tips. You might be surprised just how small some of the serving sizes are - and how oversized many restaurant servings are.
