As I was looking through my files, I realized that I forgot to post this meal. Last week I was home with the kids, and as I was preparing dinner, my parents showed up, so like any good son, I asked them to stay for dinner and managed to provide a nutritious, hot meal in a flash. Costco sells these great frozen trout fillets, and I always have veggies and starchy tubers such as yam, sweet potato and even potato lying around, so I pulled a few fast ones and here is what we enjoyed.
Pan Fried Trout (in olive oil) with chopped bell peppers along side pan fried asparagus (in olive oil) and a baked sweet potato topped with margarine. Yes, I used margarine because I ran out of butter that day and couldn’t get to the grocery store! I am sure that one serving will not kill me, but as soon as I could, I hit the Safe Way and found my prized butter to lather all over my meals for the next week.
The meal was delicious, and we had extra for the next day!
On to today’s workout:
15:00 Body weight and Olympic Warm-up followed by: Barbell Snatch 5 x 3 and then Overhead Squat 5 x 5
