Hey lovelies,
I hope your weeks are going okay so far. My heart goes out to everyone affected by the riots here in the UK. It is absolute madness and it makes me so angry that people are using this as an excuse to cause chaos in our country. As if I needed another reason to want to move to the US!
Well it is back to my Trending Tuesday post! And this week I’m going to focus on dip-dye hair becoming more popular this season.
‘What is dip-dye hair?’ I hear you ask. Well let’s take a look at the colorful creations..

It’s definitely different I’ll give you that and I do think it does look good on stylish, quirky fashionistas. As for me, I have dyed my hair since I was 10, not good I know! I went through a phase of changing colors regularly when I was in clinics/hospitals out of boredom and then when I came out I would dye my hair dramatically different as a sign that I was going to get better. However it never meant anything as unfortunately I relapsed..

Me when I was 16. I had just discharged from one clinic and decided to go for the vibrant red look as a sign that I was going to recover fully that time. Unfortunately a few months after this I relapsed into the worst state of my ED and became very critical.
So you could say that I am definitely not afraid of color! However I’m not too tempted by this trend because whilst yes, it can look good on fashionable people (and let’s face it, models can pull off
anything), from experience, dying your hair bright colors clashes with clothes and means you have to chose more wisely what you wear! I just don’t think this trend will catch on for most people but the more subtle colors are more tempting maybe..

And speaking of dips, today I made a new dip! But more specifically..
a dessert hummus. Because of course it’s going to be sweet for my sweet tooth, right?!
Ingredients
2 small dates
1 large ripe banana
1 cup of drained and rinsed canned chickpeas
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Put all of the ingredients in the food processor until completely smooth. Eat with a spoon, on apples, on banana bread, on toast…the choices are endless!
What do you think of the dip-dye look?
See you all tomorrow for WIAW lovelies!
