Good morning! How was your Halloween? I began my day with a super fun track workout with Anne this morning.
Track workouts are not one of the easiest things to get out of bed for, especially when it’s pitch black outside, but this morning’s felt great.
We took it easy and did a mix of sprinting, jogging and boot camp strengthening moves, and also had a mini photo shoot while doing so.
Running involved a half mile warm-up, 5 laps of sprinting the straights and jogging the curves and a half-mile cool-down.
Between laps, we did fun bootcamp moves like side lunges, jumping lunges, crunches, pushups, tricep dips and a couple others that I don’t know the names for.
It was a gorgeous morning for this workout, once the sun woke up!
Yay for a great start to a new month P.S. Can we talk about how it’s already November! I’m excited to only have 6 weeks left of this semester, which is supposedly our hardest in grad school!
Breakfast is a repeat of last Friday’s: Chobani plain yogurt with dried apricots, and drizzle of honey.
Lunch is some yummy chicken chili that I made on Sunday, in anticipation of a busy week!
It has a secret ingredient… can you guess what it is? I’m posting the recipe tomorrow so you’ll find out soon!
On tap for today: Medical Nutrition Therapy, studying biochemistry and a meeting at work. My Dad also came into town last night to visit for a couple of days, so I’ll be hanging out with him tonight which will help keep me from stressing out about biochemistry.
Well, time to head to class. Have a great first day of November!
