Mine started off with a trip to the gym for a quick cardio and upper body weights session. Afterward, I came home and loaded up on breakfast.
I had two hemp waffles with coconut oil, cinnamon and stevia alongside a strawberry-banana protein smoothie.
I wanted to make sure and fill up this morning because I wasn’t sure when my next opportunity to eat would be. I had an appointment scheduled to see my dentist about a tooth that has been bugging me off and on lately. I don’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to my teeth. The last time I saw my dentist about a problem tooth , I ended up getting referred to an endodontist for a tooth ‘replant’ (essentially, they pulled my tooth, repaired an infected root canal and put the tooth back in). Not fun.
While I was getting xrays, I joked to my dentist that there was no way I was going through that again. Turns out, the joke was on me.
Ok, so it wasn’t entirely the same thing as last time, but I did end up having another root canal issue. Say hello to endodontist number two. Apparently, my tooth had a tiny extra root that was causing some trouble. So I spent the majority of the morning having another root canal repaired. Bleh.
Thankfully, everyone at my dentist’s and the endo’s office was super nice and accommodating which made the process about as quick and painless as a root canal can be.
After, I treated myself to a well-deserved soy caramel macchiato.
I also spied a cup of fresh fruit while in line at the checkout and figured it would be easy to manage in my current numb-mouthed state. I’m going to spend a couple hours hanging out at Starbucks working on a freelance piece before I head back home for the evening.
Hope you’re having a great day!
Question: Any dental sob stories to share? I have more than I’d like to admit, but the ‘having my tooth extracted and then put back in my mouth’ story definitely takes the cake! Even my dentist said I was crazy when I told him what I’d had to have done.
