For the past couple of weeks I’ve toyed with the idea of joining a real gym. My apartment gym has everything Ineed. There’s treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, free weights, weight machines, two TVs, and even a water station. I use it almost every day and it serves its purpose. I get in and get out, no frills attached.
My old gym!
However, I really miss going to a full size gym. You know, one that offers fitness classes. In college, I went to LA Fitness which was right down the street from my apartment and I LOVED it! I took yoga and pilates classes daily, made use of the sauna, and loved that there were 30 treadmills so I never once had to wait for a machine to open up. Now, 3 years post-college, I find myself really missing a gym. There are some good deals to gyms near my place, so I’m seriously considering joining one of those. It would be so nice to get back into yoga and try out some new fitness classes!
So I ask you, do you have a gym membership, use your apartment’s facilities, have an at-home gym, or exercise strictly outside?
After I got home I took Sandy to the dog park to let her run around and burn off some energy. She chased other dogs non-stop for half an hour before my hunger kicked in.
I swung home to pick Vince up and we headed to our tried-and-true eatery: New World Deli . We each got a bowl of soup and shared a chicken sandwich.
After all the salty food, I was craving something sweet! We walked over to a frozen yogurt store called Snow House to grab something small. It takes me f-o-r-e-v-e-r to make up my mind at these places, but eventually I went for tart with some blueberries and mochi. The perfect way to end a busy day!
