Throw It Away Thursday

Posted Nov 16 2011 8:25pm

There’s a lot of Thursday posts out there. Thursdays thoughts, Thursday things, Thursday three’s…and so on. But today I need to just vent! I need to get rid of some of the crappiness that this week has brought! But don’t worry, I’m gonna “throw away” the negativity and use this post to move on to more positive things…like The Office being on tonight. Yes. That certainly is a positive.

If you’ve seen some of my tweets lately, you know that this week hasn’t been the greatest for me.

Ya know, those days when nothing seems to go your way? Don’t get me wrong, I know that life can’t always be rainbows and sunshine…but its seems like lately when it rains IT POURS. Moving on though…let me share with you what went wrong and what I am doing to stay out of a rut of negativity!

The Makings of a Bad Week:

-Having the WORST day at work I’ve had in forever! Mostly because of two very…let’s say peculiar…customers. I try not to complain about work to often but this just needed to be let out:

Exhibit A:

Stankalicious OCD man! Pretty much this old guy came in with a million individually wrapped shirts and tons of bags and felt the need to triple check each of his million garments before letting me check them in (I work at a dry cleaner by the way). While doing this, he proceeded to blow his nose on his arm (no words for how grossed out I was), speak gibberish, and fill the WHOLE place with this incredibly nauseating, suffocating-ly disgusting smell.

[this is the stuff he pulled out of ONE jacket he brought in!]

And if that wasn’t bad enough….after spending 45 minutes with him…a crazy lady came in screaming about her order being messed up and demanding I refund her money! She proceeded to scream at me for 15 minutes…even though I had nothing to do with her original order and wasn’t the one to take care of her to begin with. I swear there must have been a full moon out because people were in RARE form!

Stressful to say the least. I know I work with the public but sometimes people are just a little difficult to deal with. Well, at least it makes for a good story! Winking smile

-Having EVERY major project I have to do to get my IB diploma due within the same 5 day period.

-Three major tests (IB Biology, IB Chinese, and AP Calculus) on the SAME day. This made studying SO hard.

-A general feeling of lack of time! I just feel like I have been rushing with everything lately!

-Weather blues….the cold is zapping my workout motivation and generally just making me feel down. It started to snow today and I cried a little inside.

Pheeeew. It felt good to get all that out. Now I can just move on from it. And let me just say…I know there are tons of people out there that are waaay worse off than me, but I think venting is a really healthy, stress relieving thing to do sometimes. So thanks for putting up with me!

And now to counteract all that stress and CHAOS…my attempts at finding some positivity!

-Thanksgiving break is next week!!

Which means only a few more days until San Diego!! Yay!

[can’t wait to go to this farmers market again!!]

-As I mentioned above…The Office is on tonight! So technically it’s the best night of the week.

[I am literally obsessed friends. Who’s scene every episode…TWICE? This girl right here.]

Michael Scott will forever be the boss.

-I got a good run in today!

I was reeeeeally talking myself out of going (HELLO it was 35 degrees out!)…but when the weather report got the forecast for storms wrong I new it was a sign I should get out there and enjoy the sunshine. Granted it was physically and mentally challenging…it made me feel amazing afterwards! Still got that high!

-I have found a ton of winning Pins lately!

-More mail goodies!

002

[Oh Nuts sent me some goods for the holidays! Raw sunflower seeds destined for SSB and some dates!!]

You know my love affair with the mail man. Or rather the things he brings me Smile

-ALL YOUR LOVE, SUPPORT, AND COMPASSION!

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been feeling down or upset and one of you has come to the rescue! Your comments, tweets, and general cheerfulness is so refreshing! It just makes me so happy to have so many amazing connections out in the world.

Like I always say…sometimes ya gotta take the good with the bad.
