Additionally, we spend 36 minutes each day worrying, a study has revealed – that is about 9 days a year!  Or, a year and a half during a lifetime.

Research has shown that meditation can benefit mental health including a reduction in getting depression, an increase in feeling positive and an increased ability to deal with stress. Take a look for meditation classes in your area, or do it from the comfort of your own home.

Exercise Physical activity also helps to reduce stress. New research, supported by a number of national newspapers also claims that just 20 minutes a week of any physical activity – even something small like cleaning or gardening, can have an impact on stress.

The Daily Mail also reported that people who exercise every day reduce their risk of anxiety and stress by more than 40%.

So get to the gym, take a brisk stroll or join an exercise class and see the difference!

Eat more vitamin C A German study in Psychopharmacology found that vitamin C helps to reduce stress levels. Vitamin C also helps return blood pressure to normal levels after you’ve been in a stressful situation and is well-known for boosting your immune system.
