Some mornings I wake up with an insane amount of energy and ready to kick my workout in the arse.
Then some mornings I’m soo tired, even if I got a solid 8 hours of sleep, and exercise is the last thing on my mind.
And sometimes it takes me about a half hour to get motivated and get my butt downstairs to break a sweat (all my workouts are at home or outside).
Today was one of those mornings where I needed some time to wake up, had a planned HIIT run and definitely wasn’t feeling it, so instead did three circuit workouts from
Bodyrock :
-
Give Me Everything
-
Abs Now
-
Tight Cheeks
+ 15 extra military pushups and 30 hanging leg raises
moving quickly to each workout kept my heart rate up (hello cardio!), worked basically all my muscles, and left me in a shweaty mess!
Warmer weather = Shakes everyday. Sometimes 2x a day! Love getting in a good amount of greens right in the morning, my energy level soars!
this mix is never getting old
- 1 cup organic almond milk”
-1 scoop chocolate sun warrior
-1 TBS ormus greens
-2 cups spinach
- sprinkle of coffee beans
- stevia to taste, ice
I can tell the difference in my energy and recovery when I drink a shake within at least 1/2hour after my workout. Then I made a bowl of oatbran with cooked egg whites, chia seeds, and ground flax once the shake digested a bit. I like eating room temp/cooler oats on these hot days! I think overnight oats are going to need to happen again.. and I keep eyeing
Kath’s doughboy smoothie!
After watering the garden, prepping food for the next two days at work/classes, it was time for breakfast #2
Exciting News:
Gina @ Fitnessista is preggy and due in January!! Whenever I hear of someone whos pregnant that I know, or in this case, that I “know” through blogging, I get so super excited. Pregnancy in itself its so fascinating to me, and I always find myself learning more about it (even though I’m far from having my own anytime soon!!) I recently just started a new job working as a home health RN with pediatrics and I love it even more than I thought I was going to. Its challenging because my kids have very serious health issues, but it is extremely rewarding and opens my eyes to a new appreciation for my own health and the health of my family, especially my 4 little nephews! Ever since starting, I truly have been more thankful for the little things we take for granted.
Question: Overnight oats or same-day oats?
