…but at least it tastes amazing. Chewy and yummy! Just hard to build a sandwich on since the top fell so it’s kinda small.
I knowingly added too much liquid but tried it anyways. Mreh, well.
Best Running Song:
I did the same loop as the other day . Without a camera, it was amazing how much easier it seemed! Song I loved?
Citizen Cope – Son’s Gonna Rise
Speaking of Running; Newest Obsession?
Running. You know how when you see two people in a new relationship you kinda think “Awww! How cute!!” ?
I feel like that’s how running and I are right now. It’s the honeymoon stage, but I love it and wouldn’t mind if we got into a long-distance relationship.
Hardy har har…get it? Long-distance relationship?
I’m awful.
Quickest Way to Make Yourself Feel Ninety:
Stand hunched over while photographing a sorting event at the barn.
I was standing really weird for about three hours which just about killed the small of my back. I couldn’t stand straight because I had to shoot between two bars of the corral area.
Best New Habit:
Friday’s are getting to be later nights in town for me, so I have some time to kill in which I grab some groceries at the co-op or Hannaford.
That said, a kombucha is becoming a new weekly habit. I just fell in love with this Trilogy flavor !
Best Way to Feel Human Again:
Finally get some produce in my fridge!
"Awwwww!" moment. My “clean out the cupboards” mission lasted a bit longer than I intended. I’ve just been so busy lately I haven’t had time to stop at the store and stock back up on fresh produce! I’ve been craving kale like nobody’s business. sandveech on homemade bread, sauteed mushrooms with nooch, lettuce and hummus. Critical Condiment: If I don’t have hummus in the house, I’ve found I’m 99% more likely to just have breakfast for lunch and/or dinner. I guess it’s kind of like…”If all else fails, just have hummus.”
Being able to have a tomato sandwich on garlic bread with hummus, no matter how simple, almost made my weekend…
Feel-Good Moment:
Remember when I r eviewed Ground nut butters ?
Well, Shawn contacted me to let me know that he’s changed his kickstarter page to include that he is now going to donate an 8OZ jar of nut butter to the local food bank for every $25+ pledge to the campaign ! He’s also got a great new video up about his mission.
Biggest Disappointment:
Besides returning Milan?
The Bruins.
That’s all I’ll say.
Best Way to Impress:
Make Samoas.
Today was definitely a baking day.
Most likely because I had business homework I really didn’t want to buckle down on…
Maybe if I bring these to my neighbor he’ll let me have Milan…I could only dream.
Blog-Inspired Creation:
Cashew-Almond Butter from Leanne.
Unfortunately, I had nowhere near enough cashews to get a 50-50 mix.
Oh, well. Nothing wrong with almond butter with a hint of cashew and some sunflower seeds thrown in for good measure.
Had on a sandveech con strawberries (did anyone else call them “strawbellies” as a child?) coconut and maple syrup.
Two slices of bread was totally too much bread, dominating the taste and I ended up eating it open-faced and sharing the leftover bread with Milan.
My biggest beef with homemade bread is that, even if it’s delicious, I like my bread sliced thin so that I can still taste the sandwich. Homemade bread is more of a “you eat it for the bread,” than a “you eat it for the filling” kind of thing. I’m not making any sense so I’ll just shut up now.
Biggest Improvement:
I finally baked a real dinner. Lately I’ve been throwing things together half-heartedly…
…not tonight!
You’ll learn about that soon, though
I mean, I just went to her blog and the first thing I saw besides her broccoli header was a spoonful of PB & carob chips. I don’t think I need to explain any more.
Another disappointment? The fact that my Google Reader is absolutely bursting at the seams. I have been so busy with getting ready for show season (photographing it,) Teddie, running, reading about running and enjoying the weather and the dreaded school that I haven’t had nearly enough time to enjoy some blog reading. If you haven’t heard from me that’s why! I have this “thing” that I don’t comment if I don’t have time to truly add something to the pot.
So, your turn!

What’s your “critical condiment,” that, if you don’t have, seems to throw your whole “eating habits” out of line?
New habits/obsessions?
p.s. my comments are being a bit temperamental lately. if it says you’re in moderation, no worries – I’ll still see it, since reading my comments can only be done through the WP dashboard lately – no e-mails get sent. Either way, about 75% of comments go into moderation (not spam, though) lately. I guess I broke it.
